Between Gaze and Meaning.
In brief encounters, perception shifts.
Insects often appear only for a moment - accompanied by a feeling, before understanding begins.
These works explore that moment in which meaning arises:
how quickly the eye registers, how swiftly the mind completes,
and how perception turns into assumption.
Presented in the context of the zoo - a place of knowledge, classification, and care -
the paintings reflect on what we think we know, and what remains unresolved.
They trace the connection between outer appearance and inner response,
between what is seen and what is felt.
